A Craft To Guide Us Through Tough Times

This craft is based on Matthew 14:22-32, a very well known biblical story. In it we see Jesus walk on water towards a boat of His disciples who are afraid because of a storm. They are in the middle of a severe storm on the water. Jesus keeps them safe through it and tells them to have courage.

It's hard to have courage when we are afraid. But Jesus keeps us afloat when we focus on Him. We can pray to Him for courage and to not be afraid. He is always with us.

This craft is a 3D paper scene of Jesus walking on water towards the boat of His disciples. With just a couple of cuts, folds and paste you can recreate this scene and remember to keep your eyes on Jesus through difficult times.

Peter began to sink when he became afraid and took his attention off Jesus. But when he looked back at Jesus he was able to stand again. We hope this image inspires your little makers to put their eyes upon Jesus during tough times! When we fix our eyes on Jesus, He can calm any storm.
