Palm Sunday Craft

A Craft To Celebrate Jesus' Arrival

Palm Sunday is the day we celebrate the arrival of Jesus into Jerusalem! It's a day made to exclaim "Hosanna!" just like the crowds did when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. People had cut branches from palm trees and spread them on the road as a welcome mat for Jesus. They all shouted, “Blessed is He who comes in God’s name!” “Hosanna in highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:9) Hosanna is a word used when celebrating and it means "Hooray for salvation! It's coming! It's here! Salvation!" And that's what Easter is all about right? Salvation through Jesus and His life, death and resurrection.

This Palm Sunday craft is a pop-up paper scene of Jesus entering the gates of Jerusalem, riding on a donkey. We think its a fun way to celebrate the start of Easter! All you need is paper, color, scissors and paste to bring this craft to life!

We hope it gets you + your little makers excited to begin celebrating Jesus this Easter season! After making this craft have them shout "Hosanna!" to celebrate.
